Pre-Production
Pre-Production included writing and refining the script, assigning roles for this project and the most challenging part; scheduling and planning when shooting was going to occur.
Production
Production was a difficult but rewarding process. We had approximately 15 shoots that typically ranged from 4-10 hours. Every crew member on this team would agree that they all learned invaluable information that will serve as a foundation for their success in the future.
Post Production
We are currently in Post Production which involves audio mixing, color correcting, putting together a final edit, as well as getting ready for a festival run. This was new territory for a lot of our filmmakers who have never had to go through extended post production before. We were surprised by the amount of money that still has to go into the film after the production phase. The festivals that we submit to have entry fees, the venues that we are showing the film are also an expense. This is why our fundraising campaign is so important.
